In addition to the new gallery at Flatiron Studios, I have offered interior design services in the area for many years. As a decorator, I use the same improvisational approach I use in my painting. Color, emotion, and nature are my collective muses, and as I let these emerge, so does the work. Often, the finished piece or finished space is a surprise to me in both its content and its structure. Stylistically, my decorating (as well as my art work) is defined by crisp, clean lines, white backdrops, and shocks of color combined to create a clean yet relaxed feel in the living space.

In design as in art, I focus on space, and when I decorate, I concentrate on arrangements that optimize living space. I have never believed that creating great spaces depends upon enormous budgets; rather, I propose that great style and comfortable living spaces result from an expertise in situating furniture and accessories to compliment one another and highlight focal elements such as art.

My particular knack is the use of re-worked, previously outdated, odd or unusual pieces (from industrial material to old signage or a clock piece!), children's art, the work of art students, etc. in order to maintain modest price points on furnishings and accessories. Art and light, of course, are the major elements of my work; therefore I use these two elements, namely paintings and lamps, to create big effects in any space.

I would be thrilled to work with you! Be it for your home or business, please contact me about any interior design goals you have.
