Kent Ambler

Kent was born in Indiana, about 25 miles east of Chicago.

Kent’s earliest memories are of him drawing. There was never a question as to what he would do with his life.

He attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. There Kent was introduced to printmaking and discovered that he had an innate “feel” for the process of making woodcuts. In 1992, hen graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting.

Kent spent six years in New Mexico before settling in South Carolina in 2000. He now lives on eight acres on Paris Mountain in Greenville, SC where he has a print studio in his home where he spends his days making woodcuts and painting.
