Over the last six week the quiet of my studio was stark. I followed my instincts and blindly reached in a drawer to pull fragments of mylar and paper while listening to the sounds of color. The silvery sunlight danced off the mylar shapes and I began to mingle them in a dance - weaving the choreography for stage. I tossed, mixed and stitched the shapes watching for the perfect combinations of light and color - emerging as a timeline of hope and fragile faith." - Teresa Roche

Originally intended to be a two-week exhibition opening last month, the River and Roots Collection by Michelle Jardines is finally here! It is a special body of work and even though these challenging times briefly put the release on hold, it is here in perfect time. Escape into her bold landscapes by collecting today!
“I began this body of work about a year ago when I wanted to explore more the female form and its relationship with the earth. I set out to create a connection of flow and the power of roots from the earth hiding pieces of the female body within each piece. River and Roots represent the power of a woman and her body as an extension to the beauty that we see in our environment. It’s connected, beautiful, powerful, ever flowing, peaceful with a hint of erratic motion, blended soothing earthy tones and pops of reds and pinks giving each painting an unexpected revelation of what is land and what is body." - Michelle Jardines
